Whoa! Have felt pretty busy recently from having friends come to stay, champagne afternoon tea, operas and a couple of weekends ago I did Reading Half-Marathon.....

Afternoon tea. Yeah.
Brixton fun with Mollie, an old friend from back home!

Ready to ruuun.

Oh and I also ended up on tv!

Fair to say I have been busy, keep feeling like I am on holiday with the combination of fun stuff and the beautiful weather we have been having, the past week as been so lovely and sunny!

This weekend I even did yoga on a roof!! Saturday I visited Osterley House, really beautiful and relaxing day which involved a my first picnic of 2014.....

I love blossom.
Ah have had such a random time at college recently. Our last project saw our group become a the Myth Family. Ghosts from the Victorian period still lingering in their family home, centuries later while an oblivious estate agent guided the audience around the house. Each character was based on a greek myth and had either an object or role that symbolised the story they belonged to. Here are some stills form our performance.....

The Myth Family. From left: Narcissus, Theseus, Orpheus, Eurydice, Icarus, Grandma Midas and Pandora.

The entrance to our beautiful home.

Dust sheets and boxes to show know-one currently lives in the 'house.'

Theseus' string.

As a continuation from our project, the Set Design for Screen students have also been exploring the same myths and we have done collaborations with them, where they have designed a film and a photo shoot inspired by the same characters. Last week I was filmed portraying a modern day Echo - in short a nymph who is in love with Narcissus - in a bedroom, stalking 'Nico' on facebook and generally acting like a love-sick 12 year old! Yesterday I was a more traditional nymph frolicking in a forest.....

Nice ears.

Chilling for a bus to the forest.

We also had to re-imagine our piece in Cannizaro House, a beautiful old building - now a snazzy hotel - in Wimbledon. We pretty much kept to our original concept, but as we now had a real, massive house and a speculative budget of £500,000 we went to town from a dinner with Grandma Midas created by Heston Blumenthal to horse and carriage transportation and Bill Bailey as Theseus!s As it was a group project, we just focused on the character we individually performed as at college. Therefore I was focusing on Icarus.....

Icarus. A fanatical eccentric individual obsessed with flying. Attempts to fly every evening from the entrance balcony to no avail.

His study.
Heading towards the Easter holiday, and it is getting into thinking about my dissertation brief, a self-directed project and work placement, where I am undertaking 8 weeks at English National Opera! But before all that I am going on a little trip to Rome to support my sister Lucy who is running Rome Marathon!!
