This Saturday, in celebration of Kirsty's Birthday, I went to Chap Olympiad! Donned with victory rolls, red lipstick and pearls a day of Pimms drinking, umbrella jousting and volley-bowler ensued. I say, what a day!

Birthday breakfast before heading out.

Happy Birthday Kirsty!

Snow in her beautiful handmade skirt.

Cuties.

Points for co-ordination girls.

Fabulous.

Competitors.

He is loving life.

Fantastic effort made by all. Yes that woman has styled her hair into a moustache.

Umbrella Jousting, turned nasty.

Could you get anymore British?

Pimms o'clock.

It was a really fun day, and the rain stayed away, yeah!

Asides from relaxing with Pimms and friends, I am also working at Holland Park!

Me with my OHP pass after a day of sewing.
Beautiful gardens in Holland Park. Not a bad place to be working ey?

The main theatre, however the opera I am working as wardrobe assistant and dresser on is 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' which takes place outside, as a promenade performance in afternoons, really lovely to work on when the sun is shining like this.

Thursday 10 July 2014

Yesterday I made a massive brownie, yeah!!

In celebration of my friend Ellie finishing her degree!

Asides from baking I have been surprisingly busy, holidaying in New York, running in the Peak District, watching the whole of 'Green Wing' and being the costume design assistant on these guys' next music video:

Me with Dad pre-run in the beautiful setting that is Clumber national park.

Tomorrow I start a placement working on 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland - The Opera' at Holland Park, to get back into the swing of sewing, today I made myself a top out of some material that only cost me £1!

I got my material from a bizarre but amazing place called 'Squirrels' where I ventured to this morning with my friend Kat.

Since being back in London I have also been starting to get some reading done for my dissertation! Want to research The Beat Generation, focusing on the cool cats Kerouac, Ginsberg and Burroughs and how their lives and work have had such a big influence, interesting stuff!

My holiday to NYC was really good fun, enjoyed soaking up the lifestyle and culture, particularly with my dissertation topic.....

We travelled all the way to America and here we are in a pub, drinking beer, watching football.

Me and Lucy with her MA Sotheby friends who were our lovely tour guides during our visit.

Views from The MET's roof garden.

:)

The Housing Works Cafe. Very bohemian with a real beat feel, potential research?

Williamsburg thrift heaven.

Naked Coowboooy.

Priceless.

It has all been really fun, but feel ready for some down time and to be surrounded by fields and sheep.....ah bliss.
