| Started by sewing these tabs onto the hat. They act as stands for the feathers. |

| The feathers were all found back home - good old Derbyshire nature - so have been able to make it on the cheap. |

| Wanted the feathers to have some order for an attractive aesthetic, yet at the same time look quite random as though various birds had nestled and perched in Countess Gertrude's mass of red hair. |
